  • Namaste Nepal Restaurant fund-raising event Posted on 12 October 2015

We are very grateful to the Namaste Nepal Restaurant in Didsbury for hosting a wonderful afternoon of Nepalese food and illustrated talks on Saturday 4th October. The event was organised to raise funds for Community Action Nepal - one of the charities that the Nepalese Children's Trust has worked closely with in its relief efforts in Melamchigyang.  Over £2,000 was raised

As well as enjoying a buffet of Nepalese dishes provided by Namaste Nepal, guests were able to meet up with old and new friends and supporters and to get the latest news from Melamchigyang. There was also a raffle and a sale of Nepalese goods.

Namaste Nepal, Burton Road, Didsbury is where Dr Kanchha Sherpa worked during his medical studies at Manchester university and we are very grateful to the management and staff there not only for hosting this event but also for their generous support over the years of both CAN and NCT.  The food comes highly recommended too!
